Samsung just unveiled the Z Flip5 Retro edition, hoping to capitalize on nostalgia. However, it will only be accessible in a few regions starting on November 1. The iconic SGH-E700, which debuted back in 2003, serves as the model for the Retro edition.
Because of its innovative design, which for the first time integrated the antenna into the body, the phone was well-liked by a number of market segments at the time. Because of its design, the E700 became a popular choice among celebrities, which in turn sparked customer desire.
The Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro edition has certain design cues from the E700 model, such as the use of silver and indigo blue (the same color scheme as the E700), a revamped user interface (UX) that should bring back memories of the E700’s golden age, and a special animation on the Flex Window that features a cityscape and a clock widget that draws inspiration from the E700’s second display for the Always On Display (AOD).
Along with the official Flipsuit case that comes in the box, there are three Flipsuit cards that have logos from various periods of Samsung’s history. Depending on which card is in use, the Cover Screen will alter. A collector card featuring an exclusive serial number is also present.

I believe Samsung has squandered this opportunity to really embrace the retro aesthetic. They might have made a custom case that incorporates the E700’s contour into the design rather than using a generic Flipsuit case. It’s sweet to use the old status display as a new clock widget, but it seems like Samsung did nothing more than give it a fresh coat of paint. See the Tweet for more informations:

Korea, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and Australia will all have a limited supply of the Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro. As of the time of publication, Samsung Malaysia has not responded to our inquiry regarding local availability. Moreover, the Retro edition’s price is unknown.
When Did the Z Flip 5 Come Out?
Samsung’s flip phone has advanced significantly in recent years with the release of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which debuted on August 11. That’s mostly because of the phone’s new cover screen, which is substantially larger than it was in previous years.
