iPad Air Design Allegedly Revealed in Leaked Renders: Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that in the spring of this year, Apple will unveil new variants of the iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air.

If this schedule holds, we might see the gadgets on store shelves as soon as March or April. In June, at Apple’s annual developers conference WWDC, he indicated the focus will move to the company’s products.

iPad Air

There will likely be two screen sizes available for the upcoming iPad Air: 10.9 inches and 12.9 inches. The latest iPad Air versions are expected to have a revised rear camera bump, support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Apple’s M2 chip for speedier performance, and possibly other enhancements as well.

There won’t be any big alterations to the outside design, either. March 2022 saw the release of the most recent fifth-generation iPad Air, powered by the M1 processor.

iPad Pro

Most people think that the forthcoming 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models will have organic light-emitting diode displays.

Next-gen iPad Pro screens made with organic light-emitting diode technology would outperform LCD panels in several ways, including brightness, contrast ratio, power consumption, and more.

With the exception of the cheaper iPhone SE, all of Apple’s most recent iPhone and Apple Watch models feature organic light-emitting diode displays.

Changing to an OLED screen will likely drive up the price of the upcoming iPad Pro models. ProMotion is compatible with iPad Pro devices produced in 2017 and after, enabling a customizable refresh rate ranging from 24Hz to 120Hz.

Changing to an OLED display will probably let the refresh rate go much lower, to 10 Hz or less, which would be great for the battery life. The always-on display option on the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro can achieve a refresh rate of as low as 1Hz.

A revamped Magic Keyboard with a bigger trackpad and an aluminum top case are among the other innovations that have been rumored or are likely to be included in the forthcoming iPad Pro models. MagSafe wireless charging is also anticipated to be included.

You can customize the iPad Pro’s rear camera bump just like you do with the iPad Air. In October 2022, Apple introduced the iPad Pro devices that use the M2 chip.

MacBook Air

According to Gurman, Apple is planning to launch multiple MacBook Airs with the M3 CPU in the spring. This suggests that the 13-inch and 15-inch models will not be released separately this year, but rather at the same time.

Future MacBook Air models powered by the M3 chip will have mesh shading and hardware-accelerated ray tracing, allowing for more realistic lighting, reflections, and shadows in games. Last year, Apple upgraded the 14-inch, 16-inch, and 24-inch iMacs with the M3 processor.

While we don’t anticipate any significant design updates to the MacBook Air this year, we may expect the laptop to receive Wi-Fi 6E capability similar to other Macs. July 2022 was the final time Apple upgraded the 13-inch MacBook Air, and June 2023 saw the debut of the first-ever 15-inch MacBook Air.
